Karate Facts

Contrary to popular opinion, the martial art karate was not invented in China. Rather, it has its origins in the island of Okinawa in Japan. The word “Karate”, the “empty hand” or “Chinese hand”, and was given this name because it is a quick use of hands and legs in a very close combat.

It ‘been some time in the sixteenth century Chinese Kung Fu fighters experimented around with their styles and formulated the “present” technique ( “T” hand). Art in China has grown and evolved from a very simple combat and rough style in a tough, close style combat.

Around the end of the nineteenth century, Gichin Funakoshi, a famous practitioner of martial arts from Japan, blended in the new moves “These” style and displayed his art for Japanese martial arts masters in the early twentieth century. This was the beginning of Karate, as we know it.

Karate started with the original style of Okinawa, as a result, the Japanese patented their own styles, which are now appropriately called Japanese styles of karate. With the passage of time, many karate schools all across the world began their designation after their Karate school or master the name, giving rise to many sub-styles.

Practice Karate

Because any new student wants to practise his art, I were also curious to apply me my knowledge of karate to the exposure as I hard was. Thus, I gave in my recommending - and exhaled outside at the age of 10 when I beat to the top of a child in the court of play of school. But until today (I want to say after roughly 40 years afterwards) the incident is nothing more than one question dishonour to me. Can you guess why? My Sensei had taught me that to employ my competence in the self-defence only and the child whom I beat was a girl - however older than me. First steps with Kyodu

So, I began everything when my semi-mythical friend Kyodu decided to teach karate in campus. He happened with the process whole to obtain to permissions and all of the site, and decided to join a poster to announce the class. He read so all those old announcements of the atlas of Charles and that endless blurbs of jiu-jitsu and the hopkido one in the posteriora part of humorous books, and he raised with the following poster.

The poster was adorned with a Japanese character of the great writing, that Ikiru admitted me was the character for nori, the marine alga that one uses to surround sushi. But nevertheless, the poster was quite impressive. Ikiru so sent the design to the printer, it obtained two hundred copies, and it put them for above around campus. The night of Tuesday comes, and it arrives gym a quarter from seven. To its astonishment, are already around two hundred students there!
